Contact Lenses · Lexington, KY
Lenses fitted to the shape of your eye and the way you live, by Dr. Ron Haddad. New wearers welcome.Walk-ins welcome.
A contact lens is a medical device that sits directly on your eye, so a glasses prescription alone is not enough. Dr. Haddad evaluates your eye shape, lifestyle and visual needs to find the right lens. From first-time contacts to daily, biweekly and monthly soft lenses, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocals and RGP lenses, every fitting starts with your eyes, not a box. Most vision insurances accepted.
Every eye has a unique shape, so a fitting is an additional evaluation alongside your eye exam.
Sports, screen time and daily routine guide the choice between daily, bi-weekly and monthly lenses.
Keratometry or corneal topography measures the curvature of your cornea so the lens sits comfortably.
A check of tear quality to confirm your eyes can support comfortable lens wear.
You wear a trial pair in your real-world routine, then we finalize the prescription. New wearers get hands-on practice putting lenses in and taking them out before going home.
A contact lens visit may be right for you if you:
If standard lenses have never felt right, specialty and RGP contact lenses may open new options. If you've been diagnosed with keratoconus, see Contacts for Keratoconus.

One of the few remaining doctor-owned, owner-operated practices in Lexington, My Vision Care is led by Dr. Ron Haddad at every visit. His care is deliberate and unhurried, guided by your eyes rather than the clock.
A contact lens is a medical device, so your fit and eye health should be checked regularly. Dr. Haddad will recommend how often to return based on your eyes and the lenses you wear.
Most vision insurances are accepted at My Vision Care. Coverage for contact lens fittings varies by plan, so call or text 859‑216‑2660 and we will help you understand your benefits.
A comprehensive eye exam checks your eye health and glasses prescription. A contact lens fitting is an additional evaluation that includes corneal measurements and a trial lens assessment to make sure the lens fits safely on your eye.
It depends on your eyes and your routine. Daily disposables are a fresh pair each day and are often a good fit for allergies or occasional wear. Biweekly and monthly lenses are cleaned and stored each night and replaced on schedule. Some eyes need a toric, multifocal or RGP lens instead. Dr. Haddad will recommend options at your fitting.
Yes. First-time wearers are welcome. Our team walks you through insertion, removal and lens care in the office, and you go home with a simple wearing schedule. We also keep contact lens plungers at the office for patients who wear sclerals or RGP lenses. For daily care, use fresh solution each time, the type Dr. Haddad recommends for your lenses, and never top off or reuse old solution. If anything feels off, call or text 859-216-2660.
Yes. A contact lens prescription is renewed after your fit and eye health are checked. Bring your current lenses or the boxes so we can see the brand and power you wear now. If your lenses have been uncomfortable, tell us and we can look at other options.
Many teens do well in contacts, especially for sports. What matters most is being ready to handle and care for the lenses. We fit the lens, teach insertion and removal, and check in at follow-up. For children whose nearsightedness keeps increasing, ask about myopia management.
Yes, including prescription colored contacts. Colored and tinted lenses are still medical devices, so they're fitted and checked like any other contact lens. Ask at your contact lens fitting.
